Implementation of UWB-based RTLS enhances worker safety in underground areas by enabling real-time location tracking with high accuracy (±30 cm). The system uses UWB tags worn by workers and UWB anchors installed in tunnels to monitor movements, detect entry into hazardous zones, and trigger emergency alerts in case of falls or inactivity. This allows faster evacuation during incidents and provides data for risk prevention analysis. UWB is chosen for its stable accuracy in enclosed environments and interference resistance, making it an ideal solution for improving occupational health and safety (OHS) in underground worksites.
