Real-time and Historical Insights into Forklift (MHE) Operation

Real-time and Historical Insights into Forklift (MHE) Operation

By tracking your forklifts, logistics managers are gaining full real-time visibility of the fleet – not only by knowing the exact location of each forklift in real-time, but also by having the ability to track their historical locations with pinpoint accuracy. The data is then transformed into easy-to-read metrics such as the distance traveled by each forklift, run time versus stop time, the ratio of loaded and unloaded time, the time needed to complete a task, as well as the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Given these insights, managers can improve processes and the overall efficiency and utilization of their fleet using the forklift fleet management system.

Real-time Location System Increase Safety for Crane Operation

Real-time Location System Increase Safety for Crane Operation

The implementation of Real-Time Locating System (RTLS) using Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology in cranes enhances safety by preventing collisions between cranes (anti-collision) and protecting workers below. The system consists of UWB tags attached to cranes, hooks, and workers (e.g., on helmets or vests), along with UWB anchors installed in the work area to track positions in real-time with high accuracy (±30 cm). If cranes approach a dangerous proximity, the system triggers visual/audible warnings or automatically halts operations. Additionally, if workers enter a hazardous zone beneath a crane, alarms are activated, and the crane can be stopped to prevent accidents. UWB’s key advantages—high precision, real-time updates, and resistance to interference—make it an ideal solution for improving safety and operational efficiency in crane environments.

Real-Time Tool Tracking and Their Configuration based On Location

Real-Time Tool Tracking and Their Configuration based On Location

By having real-time asset visibility, the operators and managers both know if the right tool with the right configuration and right occupancy status is at the right place. At the click of a mouse, staff can view the location and status of the tool with one-foot (30 cm) accuracy across the whole facility, eliminating the wasted time of a manual search.

Another use case represent the automatic configuration of the tightening torques at nut runners based on the proximity of a particular car body and a particular nut runner preventing the wrong tightness, which results in slowing down or stopping the assembly line, creating significant costs
